Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find responses to a few of the many important questions when looking for a new therapist. If you have a question you don't see listed, please feel free to contact me. I hope it helps. Be well.
What Happens Next?
If you choose to start a therapeutic relationship with me. We will have a free 15 minute consultation about your situation to determine if I'm the right fit for your needs. If so, I will email you intake forms and grant you access to my client portal which will allow us to schedule your first session.
Do you provide medication?
Medication is an option you may or may not desire. I do not prescribe medications. Professionally speaking, medication can be helpful in conjunction with therapy. If it appears necessary I will recommend a referral, but ultimately it is your choice, which I will respect.
Are you the right therapist for me?
This is always a good question to ask both yourself and me during our consultation. I want you to have the best care possible. In that sense, I hope our dispositions mesh well together. I encourage anyone to "shop around" and contact multiple providers to get a sense of what styles fit your needs. Word of mouth and reputation are also strong indicators. Ask for recommendations and opinions from people you trust, and trust your gut instinct
How Long Does Therapy Last?
Standard session length is 55 minutes.

The length of therapy itself depends on a combination of what you have going on, treatment methodology, client resilience, and service frequency. It can range from a few weeks to a few years, but if you are curious, I can provide an estimate during our initial consultation

I don't try to rush anyone out, nor do I try to hold anyone too long. I aim to have you prepared and capable to continue your journey without me after discharge.
How much will it cost?
My Base rate is $160. However, I do accept some insurances allowing for reduced cost to the client. I also offer a sliding scale for self-pay clients.
Are you taking new clients?
I am accepting new adolescent or adult clients. I am not accepting child clients at this time.
